I'm available to work with clients on a range of issues. I focus on the use of hypnosis to manage anxiety and stress, and support positive, personal change. Whilst I practise in Leeds, I'm able to offer online appointments to those from other areas.
Hypnotherapy can be helpful in many situations, but there are some serious conditions where professional medical or psychological input are more appropriate to safely (and successfully) meet a client's needs. Serving clients in a safe and ethical way is paramount. I've completed training to understand mental health and the broader use of counselling skills, but I will sign-post clients to other professionals where I believe this is important for their needs to be met safely.
I completed my practitioner training with Leeds Hypnotherapy Academy and hold degrees in Theology and Religious Studies. I use my understanding of symbolism, belief, and language to enrich my work with clients and my role as a guide and therapist. As a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health, I'm passionate about promoting positive behavioural change and improved wellbeing, both through the use of hypnotherapeutic tools and also by helping clients identify other resources to support their own wellness.
Independently of my private practice, I also work in the NHS as a service manager (clinical coding). I've gained over fifteen years' experience working in the healthcare sector (health informatics, data quality, infectious disease surveillance, and audit).
I live in South Leeds with my partner and two cats. I enjoy running, reading, cooking, sci-fi, and listening to music from movies. I also like to spend time exploring interests in self-hypnosis, narrative, and journaling.
